Local Community Manager (Part-Time)

We’re seeking a Local Community Manager that can help us in our mission to build businesses made for humans, not just for profit.

Feel Good, Human (FGH) is a non-profit marketplace that provides good-doers with business incubation support, content production, and spaces to work, connect, and build community.

We’re looking for a Local Community Manager that can help us build a community of creators that share our intention to create positive change by organizing events and facilitating connections within our network.

Our early start-up environment provides opportunities for role evolution and quick growth into leadership positions if desired.

Job Description

The Local Community Manager’s role is to build and maintain a community of creators (entrepreneurs & artists) who seek to work together to build a more compassionate, conscious, and responsible world.

This role is responsible for managing the social calendar of the organization and its leadership by organizing events and networking opportunities. This would mean leveraging platforms like MeetUp, Facebook Events, and other compatible platforms to create a set of recurring social events and gatherings to bring our community together.

This position is responsible for leading and tracking reach-out efforts to local creators.

Responsibilities and duties

  • Collaborates with Strategy Lead in defining a community-building strategy

  • Organize social events (networking, social gatherings, parties, etc.) that provide opportunities to build connections and community for people who share our values.

  • Lead reach-out efforts with members of our community

  • Support Strategy Lead with networking efforts

A key position within the Feel Good, Human team, this role helps the organization build a local community of creators and supporters that are the engine of our ecosystem.

Wage, Hours, Location

$22/hr, up to 20hrs a week. The role can evolve to full-time.

Flexible Schedule.

Hybrid Position, occasional in-person meetings in the Portland Metro Area.
